Adams County Records Storage Mezzanine Doubles Capacity

Before

After

MYC Construction needed a secure, high-capacity records storage solution for an Adams County facility. The operation required more space for files and record keeping while staying within a 1,700 sq ft footprint and improving access to stored documents.

The Challenge: File Storage Above 8 Feet Was Hard to Access

The facility had existing pallet racking, but staff could not efficiently access files stored above 8 feet with only one rolling ladder available. The new solution needed to increase storage capacity, improve access, and support multiple departments without expanding the building.

The Solution: Storage Platform Mezzanine With Rivet Span Shelving

Western Storage and Handling designed and installed a 30′ x 60′ storage platform mezzanine to add usable storage space while maintaining the current footprint. To maximize file organization and storage density, WSH implemented a layout of 53 rivet span shelving units, each configured with five shelves to support structured record keeping.

Results: Over 100% Increase in Records Storage Capacity

The storage platform and shelving system doubled capacity inside the same footprint while improving file access and organization across departments.
